　　新华社北京5月16日电 中共中央政治局委员、全国人大常委会副委员长李鸿忠16日主持全国人大常委会湿地保护法执法检查组第一次全体会议并讲话。他强调，要深入学习贯彻习近平生态文明思想，从建设人与自然和谐共生的现代化的高度，增强贯彻实施湿地保护法的责任感使命感，扎实做好执法检查各环节工作，用法治力量推动湿地保护高质量发展。

Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), chaired the first plenary meeting of the inspection team for the enforcement of the Wetland Protection Law of the NPC Standing Committee and delivered a speech on the 16th. He emphasized the need to deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, from the perspective of building a harmonious coexistence between man and nature at a modern and advanced level. He stressed the importance of enhancing the sense of responsibility and mission in implementing the Wetland Protection Law, and solidly carrying out the work at every stage of law enforcement inspections. He called for using the power of the rule of law to promote high-quality development of wetland protection.

　　李鸿忠指出，保护好湿地，对推动我国经济社会高质量发展、保护国家乃至全球生态安全具有重大意义。湿地保护法是新时代湿地保护工作的一项标志性成果，实施近一年来取得初步成效。要紧紧围绕推进中国式现代化，立足实现中华民族永续发展，推动湿地保护法全面有效实施，为子孙后代留下优美生态环境和广阔发展空间。

Li Hongzhong pointed out that protecting wetlands is of great significance for promoting high-quality economic and social development in our country, as well as protecting national and global ecological security. The Wetland Protection Law is a landmark achievement in wetland conservation in the new era and has achieved preliminary results in its implementation over the past year. We should closely focus on promoting Chinese-style modernization, based on the realization of the sustainable development of the Chinese nation, and promote the comprehensive and effective implementation of the Wetland Protection Law. This will leave future generations with a beautiful ecological environment and broad development space.

　　李鸿忠强调，此次执法检查要坚持问题导向，准确把握法律的立法宗旨和原则，推动各地各部门加大湿地保护力度，落实湿地保护修复制度；重点了解法定职责落实情况，依法推动各级政府及有关部门形成一体推进、合力保护湿地的工作格局；深入了解相关制度机制的建立和运行情况，严格防范、依法整治违法行为；推动相关部门和地方及时开展配套法规规章制定修订工作，织密扎牢湿地保护的“法治网”。
